I am honoured to be presenting on Monday 19 October –

“Psychophysiological dimensions of dysfunctional breathing and how breathing dysfunction impacts on the meditation experience”?

Of all our body functions breathing is the most amenable to conscious control. It can be a powerful resource for self-regulation and healing and an embodied expression of our mental strength which also reflects our physical health as well as our past pain, stress and trauma. When breathing becomes dysfunctional because of these past challenges it might become less effective as a tool for self regulation and meditation. By understanding how to recognize and correct dysfunctional breathing we can reclaim this healing tool.

The Embodiment Conference aims to bring together a huge range of different embodiment practices, demonstrating a wide variety of different techniques and perspectives, and exploring how they relate to the body. Their mission is to make Embodiment available to the world. It is therefore available free of charge and they aim to translate the sessions to 7 languages.
